Understand the patterns
Learn the research-based frameworks that explain how family violence develops — including the cycle of violence, power dynamics, and the impact of trauma. This course draws from Gottman, motivational interviewing, and evidence-based clinical practice to help you understand what's happened and why.
Build safer patterns forward
Move beyond understanding into practical skills — emotional regulation, healthy communication, accountability, and relationship repair. Every module includes knowledge checks so you can integrate the material at your own pace. Complete the final assessment to earn your Certificate of Completion.

I'm Stacy Reynolds, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Associate and Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor Intern in Abilene, Texas. I've spent over four years working with families navigating relationship harm, addiction, and trauma, and my doctoral research focuses on intimate partner violence within the queer community.
This course is what I wish existed when I started this work. Family violence education is too often delivered as punishment, as a checkbox for the court to mark. My approach is different. This course treats you as a person capable of insight and change. The material is clinical, evidence-based, and grounded in respect. What you do with it is up to you.
Licensed by the Texas State Board of Examiners of Marriage and Family Therapists (#205804) and the Texas Department of State Health Services (#72791). Supervised by Lisa Powell, Ph.D., LMFT-S.
