Course 1 · Now Enrolling
An eight-module course for anyone who has been asked to complete family violence education — by a court, a probation officer, a CPS caseworker, an attorney, or by themselves. It covers what family violence is and how it develops, the patterns that keep it going, the effects on partners and children, accountability without shame, emotional regulation, communication and conflict repair, healthy relationship skills, and a personal plan for what comes next.
The course does not lecture at you and does not assume the worst about you. It asks you to look honestly at your own patterns and gives you something concrete to do with what you find.

This course is Family Violence Education. It is not a Battering Intervention and Prevention Program, and it does not satisfy a BIPP order.
In Texas, BIPP is a distinct, state-regulated program under Article 42.141 of the Code of Criminal Procedure. A BIPP requirement can only be met by a program that is:
This course meets none of those criteria and is not offered as a substitute for one. Brain & Heart Healing is not currently a CJAD-accredited BIPP provider.
Family Violence Education is appropriate when you are seeking psychoeducation on your own, or when a court, attorney, probation officer, or CPS caseworker has asked for family violence education rather than BIPP. Confirm with the person requiring it that a self-paced online course will be accepted before you enroll. Purchases are non-refundable.

Eight modules, in order, at whatever pace fits your life. Each one ends with a short check so you know it landed.
A 25-question exam pulled from everything you covered. Retake it if you need to.
It carries your name and your completion date, ready to hand in or keep.
These courses are for anyone doing the work — whether you chose it, it was asked of you, or you help others do it.
Many people take these courses because they noticed something in themselves or their relationships they want to change. That is a good reason, and it is enough.
A court, attorney, probation officer, or CPS caseworker may have asked you to complete education. That is understood, and it does not change what you can get out of it. The material is practical and respectful.
Clinicians, referral sources, and workplaces can send people to clinically written courses. Training for clinicians and workplace teams is also in development.
Who Wrote This Course
I am Stacy Reynolds, owner of Brain & Heart Healing, PLLC in Abilene, Texas. I built these courses out of the same material I use in my practice with individuals, couples, and families — including people navigating court-involved and family violence cases.
That means the content is trauma-informed, grounded in evidence, and written the way I would actually say it in a room with you: direct, respectful, and without shaming language. Everyone is welcome in these courses, whoever you are and whoever you love.
Communication skills, rebuilding trust after betrayal, infidelity recovery, co-parenting after separation, and premarital preparation.
Emotion regulation, managing anxiety, boundaries, trauma recovery basics, anger management, and alcohol and substance awareness.
Healthy relationships in queer communities, recognizing IPV in LGBTQ+ relationships, and coming out and family reconciliation.
Trauma-informed care for family violence cases, working with court-involved clients, and de-escalation and difficult-conversation training for teams.

Join the Interest ListIf you were ordered to complete a BIPP, this course will not satisfy it. A Battering Intervention and Prevention Program is a separate, state-regulated program in Texas under Article 42.141 of the Code of Criminal Procedure. It must be completed at a TDCJ‑CJAD accredited provider, in a facilitated group, for a minimum of 36 hours. This course is self-paced and independent, so it does not meet those requirements, and Brain & Heart Healing is not currently a CJAD-accredited BIPP provider.
Family Violence Education is a different service. It is psychoeducation, and it is often appropriate when a court, attorney, probation officer, or CPS caseworker has asked for family violence education rather than BIPP, or when you are doing this on your own.
Whoever is requiring it decides whether a self-paced online format is acceptable. Ask them specifically, and ask before you enroll, because purchases are non-refundable.
It is self-paced, so it is up to you. Most people move through a module in one sitting. You can spread the eight modules over days or weeks, and your progress is saved every time you leave.
You can retake it. The point is that you know the material, not that you get it right on the first pass.
Yes. Once you pass the final exam, your certificate of completion is available to download and print immediately, with your name and completion date on it.
No. These are educational courses. They are not therapy, not a substitute for therapy, and no clinical relationship is created by enrolling. If you want to work with a therapist directly, Brain & Heart Healing offers individual, couples, and family therapy in Abilene and by telehealth across Texas.
Because the full course opens to you the moment you enroll and every module is available right away, purchases are non-refundable. I know that is firm, so please take a moment before you buy: if you were ordered to complete a program, confirm with your court, probation officer, or caseworker that a self-paced online course meets your requirement. If you have a question about whether this course is the right fit, email inquiry@brainandhearthealing.com before enrolling and I will answer honestly.
